Product definition

What is Hearth OS?

Hearth OS is a hospitality operations product designed for coffee shops, pizzerias, and restaurant groups. It brings service, planning, people, and business information into a consistent workspace, with a public interactive demo and foundations for organization accounts, locations, and subscription billing.

The Problem

Hospitality teams need to understand the whole working day: the next rush, the tickets in progress, the people on shift, and what each location needs. Spreading that context across disconnected tools makes it difficult to see what requires attention.

The Approach

We organized the experience around four parts of the business: service, planning, people, and business. A shared navigation and visual system adapts to coffee, pizza, and restaurant concepts. Product design sits alongside a tenant-scoped application structure, account onboarding, location management, and subscription integration code.

The Result

The deployed product includes a marketing website and an account-free demo with three concept workspaces. Visitors can explore sample orders, kitchen and delivery views, planning, staffing, quality, and business modules. The codebase also includes database-backed account and location flows and configurable Stripe billing foundations.

Lessons

A convincing product demo should make the experience tangible without confusing sample activity with real operations. Hearth keeps its public sample workspace separate from tenant writes. The dashboard figures, forecasts, notifications, and assistant responses remain demonstrations; account and billing integrations require their provider configuration and validation.
